Close your eyes and picture a log cabin overlooking your own lake, imagine your own extensive acreage with nearly a mile of brook trout stream, frontage on another semi-private lake and the whole thing is almost completely surrounded by the Ottawa National Forest. This open concept full log get-away has the classic vaulted ceiling with log beams over the main floor where all gather in the kitchen/eating/lounging area that’s anchored by a time-honored wood stove and a sleeping loft for nestling into your quilt after a full day in the wilds of Upper Michigan. This retreat is set up with propane gas lights, oven/range and refrigerator along with a drilled well water supply brought into the cabin holding tank by the generator operated pump. Outside you’ll find the woodshed filled for the upcoming heating seasons, a beautiful log sauna building looking out over the lake, a workshop/storage building for projects, tools and toys and the classic outhouse. An extensive road system meanders through the 240 acres around Murphy Lake, up to “No Name Lake” and along Holmes Creek with its native brook trout population waiting to test your fishing prowess. The owner has established several wildlife food plots throughout the property and has a couple permanent blinds already built in tried and true locations.
